German two handed bastard sword, a precise replica of a museum piece
Two Handed Bastard Sword
This great weapon has been duplicated to the detail of an actual large bastard sword held in private collection. Its complex cross design is similar to one displayed in a museum in Zurich dated to the time between 1480-1510. These early weapons were originally carried by the strong and fearless Swiss and Germans, although bastard swords soon became popular in other regions such as the British Isles and Europe. The blade is 2" wide and 42" long. Overall length 56". No sheath.
